mike robertson
a graduate of the guildhall school of music and drama, mike now works in most sectors of the lighting industry, principally in international theatre (sweden, france, german, ireland, zimbabwe), as well as being the senior lighting designer for party and event lighting for white light events in london.
   
in the UK his work includes, among many others, the snow queen (barbican), anyone can whistle (bridewell), lesley garrett, travelling light and the singer (royal albert hall and tour), joe strummer and bryan adams in concert (the royal opera house), west side story (greenwich), torch song trilogy  (horsham), last song of the nightingale (new end), vanity fair (covent garden festival), night of a thousand stars (queens), the wood demon (playhouse), sweeney todd (UK tour), the magic flute (UK tour), to name but a few.

television work for BBC, STV, ZBC, meridian and LWT.

industrial work for airbus industrie and virgin atlantic, creating dynamic lighting on board 747-400s and concept lighting for the brand new airbus A3XX, the biggest passenger plane ever built.
 
architectural lighting designs with imagination (london), pearce & company (zimbabwe), reed brothers (edinburgh), equation (london) and many private clients both interior and exterior.
 
mike is also a writer of articles, both trade and general interest and has written 4 plays.  he has lectured in lighting design and visual art at oxford university, guildhall, italia conti, arts educational, the university of stockholm, and the institute of contemporary cultur
